Upcomming Assessments

Welcome back!

Chumash:

• There is a big test of all of perek 18 on Tuesday, October 16. We have reviewed a little of this in class and we will review a little more before the test. Students should come prepared to class with any questions they have PRIOR to the test.

Gemara:

• Over the weekend there is a take-home test on Chodesh Tishrei that is due on Monday, October 15. This should be typewritten, notes should be sued to help answer the questions.

• Also on Monday the 15th, there is a small Ushpizin quiz, just to list the names in the song.

• Tuesday, October 16 there is a word quiz on the next 5 Aramaic words. This quiz is only on 5 words.

Additionally, students that volunteered to make posters for the room should do so. More posters will be needed soon. More info to come.

This week, for  עשרת ימי תשובה we will be concentrating on listening to others. We will continue our packet on כוונה בתפילה, and have a discussion day! Look forward to... a new song or two, and some pictures!

Three More Weeks!

Enjoying the last bits of summer we have left...

I am getting ready and so can you...
This year my students will need:

pens and pencils
BLUE INK pens for important work and tests

1 three ring binder (2 inches)
a notebook for taking notes or loose-leaf paper in binder
a Hebrew-English dictionary
for gemara: an aramaic dictionary, if possible
a Hebrew only Tanach
index cards (3x5)
highlighteres
occasionally other craft materials such as crayons/markers, scissors, glue...
